Year 2 classroom display.

Year One produced the large, painted butterflies, which were folded over in the time honoured way! Fiona O'Reilly worked with the children in Year One and used the concept of the butterfly life cycle to help them with the transition from Year One into her class for next year. Her current class (Year Two) produced the mosaic, laminated butterflies and also the filter paper butterflies. These were made using pegs and pom poms to create an initial caterpillar, then wings were created by using filter papers with diluted food colouring dripped on and allowed to spread. They were then folded and attached to the peg, to change the caterpillars into butterflies.
