Year 5 classroom display.

 

Year Four produced the 'scale' wings, after looking at pictures of butterfly wings seen through a microscope. They used the concept of overlapping scales to reproduce the effect. 

 

Year Five have been thinking about butterflies in terms of their symmetry, as you can see from their artwork here.
